Instruments with logo engraving – promotional items that get used
Share
A ballpoint pen with a company logo ends up in a drawer after two weeks. A pair of nail scissors from Solingen sits in the bathroom for ten years – and every time someone reaches for them, your name is on them.
That is exactly the difference between a giveaway and a promotional item that works.
How it works
We engrave your logo or lettering directly onto the instrument using laser technology. The engraving is precise, discreet and permanent – it does not peel off and it does not wear away.
That is the decisive advantage over stickers or printed packaging: the packaging is thrown away, the engraving stays visible for the entire service life of the instrument.
Possible from 10 items per model.
Instruments we engrave
These models are particularly well suited to a logo engraving:
- Ruck nail nipper – large handle surfaces, ideal for engraving
- Basic nail nipper – affordable enough for larger runs
- Nail scissors set for fingernails and toenails – popular as a promotional set
Who it is worthwhile for

Podiatry and foot care practices. An engraved instrument as a gift at the end of a treatment or as a retail item in the reception area. Customers who use your nail scissors at home think of your practice – not of the next one along.
Beauty salons and nail studios. Your own instruments for sale, carrying your studio name. That visibly sets you apart from drugstore goods.
Hairdressing businesses. Scissors and care instruments with the salon logo, for the team or for sale.
Hotels and spas. High-quality manicure items as an amenity or a guest gift – noticeably more valuable than the usual sewing kit.
Companies in general. Gifts for employees, anniversaries, trade fair gifts, presents for customers. A Solingen instrument conveys a quality that a plastic promotional item cannot achieve.
Retailers and brands. If you would like to sell under your own name.
What can be engraved
In principle anything with a sufficiently flat surface:
- Nail scissors and cuticle scissors – on the shank
- Nail nippers and end cutters – on the handle bow
- Tweezers
- Manicure cases – on the instrument or on the case
- Nail clippers
What to bear in mind with the design
The engraving area on a nail instrument is small – often only a few millimetres. That has consequences for the design:
- Simple shapes work best. Fine lines, colour gradients and delicate details are lost at this size.
- A reduced logo beats the complete one. A symbol or a piece of lettering on its own usually works better than both together.
- Short lettering is legible, long lettering is not. The company name is enough – a slogan and a website become too small.
- Vector data is ideal. It allows the design to be adapted to the available area without any loss of quality.
If you are unsure whether your logo is suitable, simply send it along with your enquiry. We will tell you what can sensibly be done with it.
How an enquiry works
- You write to us at info@nagelzange.de – with the item you want, the quantity and your logo.
- We check the design and the engraving area and come back to you with a proposal.
- Once you have approved it, it goes into production.
You will find all the details on our Engraving Service page.
A thought about timing
Engraved items are not off-the-shelf goods – there is time between the enquiry, the approval and the delivery. If you need engraved gifts for Christmas, for a company anniversary or for a trade fair, it is better to enquire a few weeks beforehand than in the last week before.
Conclusion
Promotional items are mostly chosen on the basis of what they cost. The more sensible question is how long they will be used. A Solingen instrument with your logo is picked up for years – and that is exactly what no other promotional item in this price range achieves.
